Treatments for adults
We focus on finding the root causes of your symptoms. By addressing these, your body can naturally recover and function optimally. With gentle manual techniques, we ensure your optimal health!
Back and neck pain
Back and neck pain are common among adults. Osteopathy effectively addresses these problems by identifying and treating the underlying causes. Osteopaths work to improve the mobility of the spine, reduce muscle tension, and restore body balance, effectively alleviating back and neck pain.
Headaches and migraines
Headaches and migraines can severely disrupt your daily life. Osteopathy helps identify and treat the deeper causes of these complaints. It’s essential to balance the autonomic nervous system, improve neck mobility, and optimize blood flow to the brain. Osteopathy can help reduce the frequency and severity of headaches and migraines.
Digestive problems
Many adults suffer from digestive issues such as stomach pain, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and irritable bowel syndrome. Osteopathy can improve the movement and function of the digestive system by enhancing blood flow to the relevant organs and improving nerve signals to these organs.
Stress and tension
Stress and tension are common in our modern society and can negatively impact our health and well-being. Osteopathy helps relax the body, calms the nervous system, and restores body balance. This contributes to reducing stress and tension.
Sports injuries and prevention
Recurring sports injuries are a common problem among adults who regularly engage in sports and physical activities. When an injury keeps coming back, the cause is often not directly at the pain site but elsewhere in the body. Osteopathy helps heal these injuries by addressing the actual cause. This involves improving the mobility of the musculoskeletal system, reducing muscle tension, and optimizing overall body function. Osteopathy is also used for injury prevention. By balancing the body, its load-bearing capacity improves, reducing the likelihood of injuries. This helps prevent potential injuries, allowing your body to handle more.

What to expect
on your first visit
During your first visit to OsteoPlaza, our experienced osteopath will conduct a comprehensive intake interview to discuss your complaints and medical history. After this conversation, we perform a thorough physical examination to find the underlying causes of your complaints.
Based on the findings from this examination, we create a personalized treatment plan tailored to effectively address your physical complaints. We will also begin treatment during this first session. Although this treatment may be shorter due to the time needed for the intake interview and examination, it still lays a solid foundation for your recovery process.
Frequently asked questions
An osteopath looks for the root cause of complaints. This involves looking at the whole body and considering it as an integrated system. A physical therapist focuses only on the region where the symptoms are located and makes greater use of exercises to reduce these symptoms. Osteopathy takes a more “hands-on” approach. This is done by moving tissues (e.g., joints, muscles and connective tissue around organs) with the hands.
Yes, osteopathy is substantiated by research demonstrating its effectiveness for certain conditions such as abdominal pain, headaches, back pain, neck pain and other musculoskeletal complaints. Research in osteopathy is constantly growing and evolving.
After osteopathic treatment, it is recommended not to exercise to give your body time to respond to the treatment. Sports can overload the treated areas or cause new tension, which can slow down the recovery process. It is better to wait 24 to 48 hours before exercising again.
No, a doctor’s referral is not necessary to visit an osteopath. Clients can make an appointment right away.
Osteopathy is often partially covered under supplementary insurance policies. It is advisable to check your policy or contact your insurer for specific coverage.
